I switched from a pair that cost twice as much. Six months in, these hold an edge just as long and the swivel ring has completely sorted my thumb strain.
About fusheart
About fusheart
fusheart is not a brand that found a factory and put a logo on the box. We are the factory. For years we built shears for other people’s names; fusheart is the label we finally put on our own work.
What that changes for you
When there is no importer between the bench and your door, three things happen. The price comes down, because nobody is taking a margin for passing the box along. The specification stays honest, because the person answering your email is standing next to the grinder. And problems get fixed, because we would rather re-hone a pair than argue about it.
There is a fourth thing, and it is the one you notice first. Because we hold our own range as finished stock rather than building to order, your shears are dispatched within 48 hours of the order — not in three months, not when the next run is scheduled. That is the whole point of being the factory: the shelf is ours.
How we work
- In stock, not on order. Every shear in our own range is finished and sitting on the shelf at the factory. Order it and it leaves within 48 hours — you are not waiting on a production run, and you are not joining a queue.
- Capacity. Around 100,000 shears a month across the range, which is why the stock stays deep and a custom run never pushes stock orders back.
- Lead time. 48 hours for anything in our range. Custom and private-label runs are the exception — roughly three months from confirmed order, depending on finish and customization.
- Materials. Japanese VG-10 and 440C, hardened and finished in our own facility.
- Custom work. Engraving, handle geometry, tension systems and packaging, from 50 pieces per model.
What we will not do
We will not quote you a hardness we do not test, we will not call a blade Japanese if the steel is not, and we will not ask you to trust a number on a page over a certificate in the box. If a pair is not right, tell us and we will make it right.
Factory direct
From our mill to your chair.
Most brands sell you a blade they bought from someone like us, with a logo added and a distributor's margin on top. We removed the middle.
Certified steel
Japanese 440C and VG-10 bar stock, verified against the mill certificate before it enters the line.
Forged & hardened
Vacuum-hardened and tempered to a controlled HRC band — then tested, not assumed.
Hand-ground edge
Convex-ground, honed and stropped by hand, then checked against a cutting standard before it passes.
Shipped direct
Straight from the factory, where it is already finished and in stock. Dispatched within 48 hours, with documentation, a 30-day risk-free trial and a lifetime edge warranty. No distributor, no markup, no three-month wait.
From the chair
What cutters say after a year.
The mill certificate in the box is what sold me. I have been burned by "Japanese steel" claims before — this time the paperwork actually matched the blade.
I groom dogs all day. The curve on the pet shear is genuinely different from a converted human shear — it gets under the paw without nicking.
